Key points

  • Structurally sound, dry and stable
  • Clean and free from dust, oil, release agents and loose material
  • Flat enough for the selected fixing or adhesive method
  • Framing plumb and secure; sheet edges supported

You'll need

  • Tape measure, straight edge and level
  • Utility knife, handsaw or circular/track saw
  • Hole saw or multitool for penetrations
  • Driver and corrosion-resistant screws
  • Caulking gun for Thermasheet MSP Sealant
  • Dust extraction and PPE

Installation steps

  1. 1

    MEASURE AND MARK

Measure and mark accurately before cutting.

  2. 2

    CUT

Thin boards may be scored and snapped; thicker boards are generally quicker to cut with a fine-tooth saw or circular/track saw. Use dust extraction where practical, and wear eye protection and a particulate mask when power cutting.

  3. 3

    DRY-FIT

Dry-fit boards before applying adhesive or sealant.

  4. 4

    PROTECT EDGES

Keep factory-coated faces intact where practical. Protect exposed cut edges in wet or external work as required by the installation detail.
