Tile backer / insulation board
Thermasheet Board
A waterproof XPS core with a cement-polymer coated face, the ideal surface to lay tiles directly. For walls, ceilings and floors in internal and external wet areas.
- 6 mm to 100 mm, in 1200 × 600 and large-format sheets
- Tile, stone, render and microcement direct
- Thermal break that helps underfloor heating
- Mould and moisture resistant
Thermasheet's waterproofing and insulation properties make it ideal for internal and external wet areas exposed to moisture. The specially manufactured cement-polymer coated board gives the ideal surface to lay tiles directly.
As an alternative to traditional villa board, Thermasheet reduces installation time and labour costs. Its lightweight XPS core is quick to cut and shape for walls, niches, boxing and custom features.

Which thickness?
| Thickness | Typical use |
|---|---|
| 6 mm | Bonded direct to masonry or floors. Not for stud walls. |
| 10–12 mm | Framed walls at 400–450 mm stud centres; 10 mm over slabs for underfloor heating |

Can I tile directly onto Thermasheet?
Yes. The cement-polymer face is tile-ready. Use an adhesive suited to cementitious substrates; maximum tile loading is 60 kg/m².
Is the finished wet area waterproof without a membrane?
The XPS core is waterproof, but the completed installation must still be detailed and waterproofed to AS 3740 and the project specification, including joints, penetrations and wall/floor junctions.
Is Thermasheet non-combustible?
No. It achieved fire hazard indices of 0 / 0 / 0 / 6 to AS/NZS 1530.3, which is not an AS 1530.1 non-combustibility classification.
